Sara Wilkinson

Dr. Wilkinson was born in Connecticut and raised in Concord, New Hampshire. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University in 2012 where she then received training and began working as a veterinary technician at a mixed animal practice in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Her journey brought her back east to continue working as a vet tech until she was accepted into the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, DVM Class of 2021. She hit the ground running going straight into Emergency Medicine, where she fell in love with the fast-paced field and challenges of complex medical cases.

Outside of work, Dr. Wilkinson enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, crafting, dancing whenever she can, exploring new places, trying new foods, and above all spending time with her heeler dogs, Frenchie and rest of her Funny Farm"… a miniature pony, two pigmy goats and a one-eyed cat - Eddie.
