Dr. Rachel Kanefsky received her undergraduate degree in Dairy Science from Virginia Tech. She then went to Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health dual degree. She spent a year as a USDA Veterinarian with the Ready Response Corps as a bird flu specialist based out of Nebraska. She is super excited to return to Richmond to practice emergency medicine.  

Outside of work, Dr. Kanefsky enjoys riding horses, running, baking, and exploring Richmond with friends. She is also working on her animal chaplaincy certification.
