Dr. DeLillo is a native of northern NJ whose diverse interests led him down early paths in engineering, film production, and cardiology before he discovered his true calling in radiation oncology. He earned degrees from the University of Notre Dame and NYU before obtaining his DVM from North Carolina State University. After graduation, he did a small animal rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC and post-doctoral cardiology training at Texas A&M and the University of Tennessee. He later obtained a coveted residency in radiation oncology at UC Davis, becoming board-certified shortly afterward. While awaiting completion of construction at our new Short Pump facility, Dr. DeLillo worked as the onsite radiation oncologist at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, the largest of our sister specialty hospitals. His diverse background and academic achievements allow him to approach each case with a comprehensive and innovative perspective.
Outside the clinic, Dr. DeLillo enjoys all types of outdoor adventures, live music, cheering for his favorite sports teams, and exploring the world with his girlfriend and their senior beagle mix, Cocoa. He is excited to be part of the VVC team and eager to help your pet receive the best possible care.
